I'm still the "Queen"...

As some of you know, my dad and his sweet wife are EXPECTING! We found out today that they are having a baby boy! When my dad called to tell me he first opened with "Kieren will have to teach Jordan how to wrestle." I didnt get the hint with that remark so he next said "your still going to be the Queen" and I finally understood what he meant. I'm going to get a little brother and Kieren is going to have a little nephew to play with! I couldnt be happier for my dad and Aimee! The due date is in March so now we are counting down for 3 things; One, the birth of Jordan. Two, the homecoming of Andres. Three, Kierens 1st birthday (that can wait though :))

I wish I had a picture of the happy couple and mother to be but all i have is one of abuelo and Kierencito. In a years time this will be a picture of daddy and son instead of abuelo and grandson!!! cant wait!

much to catch up on

Another week has come and gone, and i find myself falling more and more behind with this whole blog thing. When Kieren is sleeping, blogging is the LAST thing on my mind. Even though you all appreciate the updates and pictures, it sure takes a long time to load all the pics. So consider this an apology for my lack of posting. I'm sorry to all you wonderful family members who follow me only on our blog and not on FB.

So...in a sum up of all the happenings. Kieren is 4 months old. He has rolled over, twice!!!! I got the 2nd roll on camera since Josh was at work. He is growing well and is for the most part a happy boy. He doesnt like getting out of his element in the evenings, he much prefers when mommy is sitting on the couch with a pillow on her lap for him to lounge on, free to eat whenever he wants (going out in the evenings is difficult).

Kieren is going to a Chiropractor to see if that will help his Acid Reflux since he finished his 2nd round of meds and I'm tired of pumping them into him if they aren't helping. Just because doctors recommend or say to do one thing does not mean its the best! So, we are trying alternative methods and first up is the Chiropractor. He has gone twice and seems a little better. Its so hard to know whats ailing a baby when they have no words to tell whats wrong.

All in all things are wonderful. I love being a mommy and am living in the moment with all my heart!!!

I am so grateful for my beautiful baby! He is a trooper in so many ways and loves to smile! 
The first set of pics are of him in his baby blessing outfit. The second set are of him at about 10 weeks old.

1 month checkup

Yesterday Kieren had his one month checkup, even though he is almost 6 weeks old, it went well since Dr. Rodriguez is both a counselor and a pediatrician. She's not really a counselor, but every time we go in she makes sure to listen and guide us on how to be well rounded parents. I really like her as a Dr. I've never had a doctor listen and care so much. She really stresses for me not to stress. So besides Kieren just getting a checkup, I got a session (since Josh wasn't there).
And at this checkup Kieren made sure to show off how he got so big. He weighs almost 11 lbs and is almost 23 inches long (i dont remeber the exact numbers). He was fussing and crying more than usaul because he was hungry! The funny thing is, I fed him before the appt, waiting for the appt, and during the appt. But no. That was not enough! He's a show off already.
Also, the doctor probably shouldn't have told me this to get my hopes up but...she said that from his measurements, he's going to be taller than both Josh & I, um....WAHOOO! That would be amazing. The world of being a shorter person is not one that is fun by any means. I don't want him to come home crying because he's short...the kids will find plenty of other ways to be mean. I dont want being short to be one of them. But...of course if he is, i'll love him more than life itself. Lets just keep our fingers crossed!

Tio Kikis & Kieren

So this last weekend Josh and I packed Kieren in the car and made the 2 hour drive to my moms for a combined birthday party to celebrate Joshs bday, my brother, my cousin and a good family friends! (We went just for the day now that we have the bebe' to worry about)

While we were chilling at my moms in the blistering heat, Tio Kikis got some one on one time while Josh slept and I got some me time. He is so excited to be an uncle and I'm so glad we are here in Cali, somewhat close, so that he and my mom get to spend time with Kieren.
Plus today is his birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIKS!! WE LOVE YOU!

I didnt get any pictures of the party because Kieren wasn't feeling well being hot and hungry. So when I had some free time I was stuffing my face. (maybe its time Josh becomes the photographer of the family). We'll work on getting the "moments" caught on film.
